I bought one of these a year or two back from Thomas Bush, don't remember his name on here anymore, but I came across the book on eBay and seen the price.... I know the production run was limited, but $375? I want to say I paid like $60 or $70 for mine. Is this guy just searching for a sucker or is the book that rare? eBay Book Link here
yes, that was his name! I think he helped write the book or had something to do with some part of the book.
It may be less 'rare' than 'condition rarity'. The people who bought it, bought it to use - serious collectors. So there aren't many copies available in the market... means high price.
The print run was apparently small, it sold out very quickly, it has not been reprinted, and it seldom comes up for sale. So when it does come up there is a high demand and a high price. It was like with the old Bust dime book Atone point they were selling for $400 a copy if you could get one. The the new dime book came out and the old one dropped to around $60. Before the 1990 reprinting of Sheldons Penny Whimsy copies were going for over $100 each. Now if you look you can buy them for $35. If they ever reprint or do a second edition the price will fall, but for right now that price doesn't surprise me. I'd like to have a copy, but I'd be happy with a well used one.
