Rare being a relative term here. The vast majority of $2 notes that you will find in circulation are worth just that Two Dollars. There are some tougher star notes you my encounter as well as the occasional red seal. As for rare being a relative term I mean that you can still come across some that are worth more than face value. I like the Educationals too but don't think you'll see any popping up in a cash drawer.

eveyone thinks $2 bills are so rare, but they print them every day. go to the bank and ask for $2 bills, they probaly have some on hand. any way it would be worth more than $2 is it would have to be a rare star note, or have a fancy serial, just like the $1 bills.:thumb:
It's fun spending $2's. EVeryone says "You sure you want to spend that??" My favorite is buying a large coffee ($2.09) and paying with a $2 bill and a half dollar!! hahha yup, Ive had that happen too. Im just waiting to get more 2$ bills and half dollars (as you mentioned) to spend.
Recently, I've decided I want to bring the two back to life. I got (and still have) a bunch and I bring them around town, but writing "spend this bill" on it does not seem to be enough when all the twos get put under the tray of the till. D'oh!
