Looks like a very nice lifetime tetradrachm of Alexander the Great, with a particularly attractive obverse. I don't see any red flags. Here is another of the same type, sold by CNG last year: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=12843091
Lovely coin—but are you looking for advice on authenticity? I don’t doubt it from the photo but you’d need the weight and good edge shots to be more certain. Still, only buy from reputable dealers if you are not well-versed in ancients.
A fellow local collector, son of my wife’s friend, owns it At 30 he seems to have a good eye & studies coins seriously A YN with a few years under his belt He picked my collection for about 100 coins He bought 10 and I set aside the rest for him. Of course a few went as gifts
Nice tetradrachm, minted in Babylon in the last year of Alexander's life. With the bee and the M in the reverse left field, it belongs to the same series as some decadrachms. Do you know the provenance of this coin? If it is not recorded in a collection before 2017, it could very well be from the Alexander underwater hoard found in Gaza in 2013-2017.
