1879 S Morgan Silver Dollar

    IMG_3460.jpeg IMG_3462.jpeg As I continue my journey to appraise a Morgan collection, this one shows a second reverse/ third reverse difference. The value difference is huge between the two.
    I never get responses on what’s it worth, here it is

    Your coin with the 3rd reverse, slanted arrow feather / convex breast is the more common issue, and carries the lower book value.
    Still a very nice looking silver dollar.

    Looks like yours is the 3rd Reverse. I would guess it to be valued at $100 to $200 depending upon where it grades.

    I'm confused. It looks like a 1879S, reverse of 79, short nock. Help me out here, the 78 and 79's have a lot of varieties. I'm open to learning. The literature makes my head hurt.
