Hi all, it's been quite some time since I've posted. I just wanted to drop a line and ask what all the great people here think about my beautiful 1909 vdb here. I've never been able to become more than an armature novice when it comes out to picking a grade. All I know here that despite this not being an s mint (I could only afford to wish), it does have awesome eye appeal, at least in the humble opinion of mine.

Anyway, what do you guys and gals think regarding the value or grade might be. I'm not looking for the moon here but I'd be delighted if the knowledge I gain here informs me it's worth at least twice what i paid for it all those years ago.

Beautiful well struck coin. I would sure take it out of that 2X2 it is living in. Looks like it has been exposed to moisture somewhere along the way and if it starts to rust it will sure attack that pretty cent.

I'm on @Randy Abercrombie 's side here. Take it out of the 2x2 and right now! Get rid of those nasty staples and put it in a really nice holder.
Welcome back to CT. you crazy animal.
