I'm always looking for something interesting. I thinking about starting a all Nicadate Bufflo album. Thoughts?

Definitely different. Or as pattyman98 would put it "DD".

Ok as you can see under my name "New Member", I'll bite what's DD? or is just that obvious that it's definitely different? :joyful:

I don't see the harm in it. They are always worth five cents!

It depends on the context. In this case I think it's "Definitely Damaged". Personally I find that acronyms can be confusing, so I generally avoid using them.

Whether a Nic-A-Dated collection is a "good" idea or not is for you to determine. There's certainly nothing wrong with it, but it will likely be difficult to resell them in the future if that's something your concerned about.

Yeah.... But what can you get for a no-date buffalo? Maybe a quarter on a good day? I have acid etched a few buffaloes in my day and yes it does make them ugly.... But they are still worth five cents all day long.

I was going to select "you do you" as that is my basic feeling for all collectors; collect what makes you happy. But thinking a little more on it you could probably put together a very interesting collection, at very low cost, so I went with a strong "Yes"!

I think it'd be a really cool idea. I can tell you from personal experience that you'll get a wide variety of dates; generally, they're common as late as 1929. 1916-D is one of the most common of D's and S's.

Your only challenges will be a 13-S type 2, a 14-D, a 21-S, and any 30's. I only nic-a-date Ds and S's most of the time but I still struggle to find 30's. Kinda a good thing though.

I'm planning on doing it, just for something to do. But, I think it will be interesting to reveal what otherwise will stay hidden.

Added: I would be doing this for fun, for me, not interested in being able to sell them. I guess they could be buried with me if no one wanted them? I've had the date worn off me for a while!
