Ok simply said got a literal "yardsale" purchase. a box of mostly basement slabbed indian cents.. and this puppy (also in a different but still basement slab)
I've come to the conclusion it's a halfway decent fake.. but still a fake. I point primarly to the eagles claws and the missing details in that area as well as the "fat" cc mintmark. It passes the magnet test as well as the metal detector shows it as silver (but so does a lot of non-silver junk lol). Just would like to hear a comformation of my conclusion as if it's real... well, it's more likely I've got the winning 1.1b powerball ticket in my pocket lol

Pretty obvious fake without even knowing there are only 16-20 known and it's a 6-figue coin.

The font on the slab has a certain Russian look to it. One to show the kids at the next monthly coin club meeting.

You should look at the definition of detail on an actual coin to compare. James

It appears your coin has repeating depressions.

There is a 1876 CC twenty on Ebay close to top of the page. It's the one selling for $29.99. It has a depression on the left wrist, a depression below the right knee cap and a depression on the right side of shield. Just as yours appears to have. Although your image is weak, I'm pretty sure they are there. Here's a link to the Ebay coin.

Good sleuthing. That gash in her wrist is a dead giveaway. The silly 6 is the same on both too. Seller location China. Report it as counterfeit and see what happens (hint - nothing).

I wonder if there are people collecting basement slabs in the same vein as people who collect PO1 coins? Seems as though there is plenty to choose from at low prices.
