Would this compromise work for the "Eliminate the Penny" Debate?

    Yes, it's a total RIPOFF.

    Why do they sell something at a price that is unattainable unless you buy it in 10x multiples.

    FYI, I used to work for an advertising agency that also did price analysis. So many people will just take it as is and be attracted to a slighlty lower price that takes it of of a larger Dollar number .. psychological price -marketing. It works if you have no problem.

    If the manufacture of the cent is ever stopped and we start rounding off, one can count on the Federal Reserve jerking as many out of circulation so the government can get the salvage value.

    1. They could possibly put all a persons monetary value on plastic and get rid of the use of all denominations of money but they couldn't get rid of the 1 cent

    Well, because the cent probably won't be withdrawn until it has a more than a cent's worth of zinc in it, folks will probably be better off taking them to a metal recycler than turning them in to banks.
