There is definitely a trend brewing... Wells Fargo getting rid of their coin counters, truble's credit union, and now my main drop bank "First National" is now getting rid of their machines. Are there any mechanisms that make it easier to fill paper rolls with half dollars?
There are machines made so you can roll your own, but the problem is that you have to buy specialized paper rolls that are already crimped on one end and this can get expensive. Chris
I rolled for a few years, now the bank lets be bag up $50 worth of cents....huge time saver! Also, coin star does not charge a fee if you get a gift card and there is plenty to choose from. If your doing halves, then good luck even getting the bank to give you wrappers!
That's strange... I've never had a problem getting wrappers... other than the occasional strange look that was like, "Uh, yeah... I *think* we have those in the back somewhere...?"
One of the perks of upgrading to a business account is you don't get dirty looks when you ask for coin wrappers.
The mechanisms are your hands. Count out 20 halves and slide them into the wrapper. I usually count by threes myself when it comes to CRH. Check out this video (the link will take you to the exact time you will see it happen) to see how easy it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=316&v=gof2RTiNHN4.
Meh. Contrary to popular opinion, there's often valuable insight to gain from watching SilverSearcher's videos.
