    The iconic hookneck 8 reales from the early years of the Mexican Republic is pretty expensive in straight grade. This one is beautiful, and shows tremendous strike details for a "polished" example.

    I don't mean to revive this thread but I think I have taken a better photo of my hookneck to show off how a cleaned coin with great eye appeal can be a worthy addition to a collection.
