I'm willing to bet they will and once again show that no opportunity to make money is too small.

But of course they need to commemorate this historic event to make money.

If a bulk submitter wants it sure it'll happen

Every modern coin gets a special label.

Honestly it's time classic coins got some recognition from the TPGs.

    Special bust/seated label?

Would someone really pay a huge premium for a "special label" for a coin they get at the bank?

Yes, I already realize this answer. Doesn't mean it is any less astounding.

I'm sure one will be done for the TV coin peddlers to fleece their uninitiated flock of suckers.

What denomination is started by YN's more than any other? Lincoln cents, of course!

So, it would be appropriate for the design of the label to show a young child loudly proclaiming, "I gotta P!"

As I've said elsewhere, albeit somewhat facetiously, the only question is which TPG will be first. I've also said several times, that while I think all these special labels are silly, I'm thankful for people to pony up the bucks to get them, because it keeps the prices of the services I do use down.

Classics can stand on their own without a special label. Special hoards and collections have gotten special labels, but collectors don't seem to care.

There were attempts, some were much to artsy and people hated them. As messy mentioned the pedigree is usually what they do now

The TPGs are capitalistic enough and the public is gullible enough to make it happen.

Some do. If I coin was labelled to have come from the Eliasberg Collection, then I sure would care.

Including a pedigree on the label is different from designing a special label to go with the pedigree. You care about the pedigree, not the label. I'm thinking along the lines of the Binion hoard or Stack's 57th St. collections that have special, fancy labels. People aren't trying to buy classic coins with the labels to get the label for a set, and people aren't clamoring for a special label available only at a show for $110 a pop for their classic coins.

This is why I dislike the modern coin market. Pick up a box of freshly minted 2017-P cents from the bank, look through them all and see if any are MS-67 or higher material, then submit them under a special label. $$$$$

Just because some company says it's exceptional doesn't mean I'll pay more than 1c for it when I can get it at the bank.

Hadn't thought about it that way. It subsidizes the cost of the other stuff, and thins the competition. :)

I could very easily see them doing a special label to "commemorate the 225 anniversary of the mint" for the 2017 P cent. All it takes is for some bulk submitter to request it.
