I normally don't post these type of buys, but I randomly buy ancients & moderns that don't cost much & tuck them away. This is one those. Was $18 shipped. Never had a huge interest in these, but for the cost, why not have an example. What looks like a pit on the obverse & 6 o clock, it is not at all, just deep engraving. Post your little snacks, say under $25. Apollodotus II (80 - 65 B.C.) AR Drachm Bactrian Kingdom O: BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣΩTPOΣ KAI ΦIΛOΠATPOΣ AΠOΛΛOΔOTOY; diademed and draped bust right. Actually just received the cheapest coin I have ever purchased, I wanted a comparison that had good detail of a later Altar Consecratio coin compared to the earlier 1st century type. So they got smaller and weren't as careful in their rendering of the altar, a few lines not as symmetrical and heaps of different varieties, but for $17 inc delivery very happy. I don't think I've purchased a coin for less than $25. I guess the "cull" coins from one of the bulk lots would qualify. I need to find a "Snack Bar."
