The U.S. Mint promoting the Superman movie?

    Yeah they’re just medals, but did the Mint run out of things to do? Just doesn’t seem to me like the mission of the Mint to do the commercial work of some other enterprise. Other mints around the world do this, I know. Still just not my vision of what they should be concentrating on. Your thoughts?

    I don't like the whole "superhero medals" thing, but I don't think the timing with the movie is intentional. I think the mint releases are scheduled further in advance than the movie releases, and I can't imagine the movie distributors cared enough about the medals to move the movie's release date...

    Will not see the movie (no interest in that genre) and will not buy the coins and medals.
