Two New Purchases

    Really excited about these two pieces. The 1461 is in really
    nice condition as well. The only 1461 dated coin. Levinson
    III-33. R4, less than 6 available for collectors. Groningen 25-0875 (5).jpg
    This coin is dated 1483. Despite it's condition it is a rare coin.
    Utrecht Levinson III-142 R5 Less than 3 available to collectors.

    Beautiful Groningen, my father was from Gronigen province so I have been looking for a coin that attracts me for a fair time but I'm leaning towards a siege coin as I collect English Civil War so some similarities.
    Great for you to bag a rarity too!

    I bought this one a few years ago. It was a leftover everyone had passed on from a Heritage auction, so I probably overpaid. Still it grabbed my attention. I think that is shaped like a rombus because it was easier to cut the straight lines out of sheet of silver rather than a circle.
