    That's just awesome! Giving back. Cool novelty as well. :)
    I have a button, circa mid 1800's from the Benedict & Burham Co. and now the company is called, "The Waterbury Button Co." out of Waterbury CT. ! Found while metal detecting. I called them in years prior, and they were interested in having it for their button display at the Company.
    Now, with your story, maybe I will go ahead and let them have it.
    Also, maybe they will give you free tickets to the vehicle museum. ;)

    Is it supposed to have the hole in it, or was that added? Sometimes the hole is part of the intended design, sometimes it isn't.

    Is it just me, or is a plastic encased cent unusual? I can't recall seeing many of them... but I haven't been looking either.
