What the heck is this seller up to! Strange looking mess for sure, I have one of these but you don't need to have one to know it's not a gold Canadian coin at all. Here's mine and the bottom is his, WTH? https://www.ebay.com/itm/3656988437...Q3GV50&hash=item552559845f:g:QrkAAeSwna5oYGOl
Looks like a jewelry trinket off a charm bracelet. I expect it might’ve once had a loop mounted at the top. I suppose it could alternately be a gaming token of some kind. It’s too crude to have ever fooled anyone in commerce.
Shh! Don't tell anyone else and you can have my chocolate coin hoard melted straight from New England.
The real tragedy is that it actually sold. Yes, I am not kidding, someone is gonna get screwed outta $700.
Deals like that occasionally do happen but almost never on Ebay, especially since their fees are 13.25% on coins if they haven't increased it. I've gotten gold coins for under melt from dealers at coin shows before, but they also don't have to pay $40-50 for every 1/10 oz of gold they sell.
