    Fun variety. It is called an S-9 clash die coin. The obverse die of the cent was clashed with the die from the 50 cent piece.
    I would grade it XF. Nice coin.

    Thanks Larry , Clash Coin? have no come across that before, it happen a lot ?

    1857 was a crazy year for clashes. The cent dies were also clashed with the quarter and the $20 gold piece dies. All are popular with FE cent collectors. You will find all of them listed in the CHERRYPICKERS GUIDE.
