I brought these 8 coins today for 20 GBP that's about 27 us dollars. I brought them from a online charity shop they was donated to them by family of a man who passed away . They was listed as old copper coins so I could see a Spanish cobb coin from about 1600 but not sure on the others but look to have some age but for but for just over 2 GBP per coin it was worth a shot . These are the only pictures I have until they arrive. If anyone recognise any please let me know. Thank you. Atta
Looks like you have a wide variety there of Spanish, Greek and eastern (Indian?) coins. As I collect Roman, I don’t recognize many. The one with the castle and “8” is Spanish… 1500 of 1600s.
Ty. I did recognise the Spanish but not so sure on the others just thought it was a bargain just to leave .
I can recognize a Kushan AE tetradrachm, a Judean prutah of Agrippa I, a Kashmiri AE coin of the 11th c., a small Hellenistic coin (3rd or 2nd c. BC) with the head of Isis right and on the reverse a standing figure.
These are the other coins they came today can you id if possible please so I can ticket them so I no what they are thank you . The small one looks to have three stems of wheat and no portrait.
very eclectic the 1st one (hercules' head right / prow of ship right) must be a Roman quadrans of the Republican period (1st c. BC) the 2nd one (3 ears of barley / umbrella) is a Judaean prutah of Agrippa I, 37-44 AD. You can still decipher [...]ΙΠΑ to the letf of the umbrella. the 3rd one (horseman raising hand / standing deity) is a Kushan bronze tetradrachm, I think (India, 1st c. AD). Not 100% sure for this one...
