I was determined to get to this show -- I missed nearly every show last year, due to travel for family illnesses (and one funeral). But, wouldn't you know it, I got a stomach bug last night, and I was in no shape to go. Did anybody else go? Was it the usual Holshouser-building turnout? Anybody notice what the buy prices are for 90% and 40% silver? If I recuperate enough, I might make it tomorrow...
Nobody? This might be answering my question about turnout. I'm feeling a bit more even-keeled today, so I might try to get over. I'll probably be back too late to give anyone else advice about going, though. We'll see.
I've been so wrapped up in the usual post-holiday stuff that I hadn't even checked the show schedule. Didn't know there was one this weekend, or I would have been there on Saturday. I'm only about 10 minutes from the fairgrounds, but too many honey-dos on my list today, so I doubt I'll make an appearance.
Ugh! didn't even know it was this weekend! We were even planning on going to Raleigh to do some shopping and maybe pick up the hockey game but ended up being slugs on the couch.
Speaking of hockey, I went Friday night, a 5-2 win over the Sabres. Finally, it seems the Hurricanes may be turning the corner — the team is young, but appears to have some talent and a winning attitude.
I guess the show is more dependent on Coinzip's free advertising here than they realize. I'm not going to make it today -- I still don't feel up to a long drive, and I don't have anything I'm especially looking to sell or buy today. Hope I'll make it to the one in March.
Yep, one spot out of the wild card slot. Still early in the season, but that is very promising. They have a tough two week schedule ahead of them. We are going to this Friday's game against the PENS. Unfortunately, we are from up that way and will be wearing Pens stuff. I may wear my Canes hat if my wife doesn't divorce me! Hockey is serious in our house!
