This one seemed to have decent details left on it. Vf ish?? Some staining but numismedia has this coin at 192 for vf-20 so $43 seemed like an ok price for it.
Close call for the grade. I'd call it F-15, but I could easily see it in a VF holder. I doubt it would straight grade though. $40-$50 sounds fair to me. It took me over six years to complete our granddaughters set, being careful to get the best coins I could and yours is no exception. I would buy it in a second at that price. Good for you!
I would say this is in Fine condition with the hair mostly blended. However, there looks to be a bit of verdigris on it which could possibly lower the value to VG+. But without actually seeing the coin, it could be just some dirt as well. I used both ANA Grading Standards and Grading Coins By Photographs books. With those grades Redbook has it at $95-$120.
I think it does have a little verdigris on it on obverse mostly. Will use some verdicare on it to halt that process.
