This is about an hour from me. Lmao! He went the extra mile and sunk a bunch of extra money into this stunt. Everyone hates the DMV, but 99% of the time it's not the poor teller's fault.

It cost him over $800 to perform this stunt. Wonder how many thousands of wheats, maybe an IHC or two etc are in that bunch?

That's an attention getter! Governor, I hope you're listening... The people ain't happy!

And for those that think those dmv clerks make $10 an hour - you are sadly mistaken. They are paid much more than the average teller / clerk, they get huge benefits packages, and their work output is far below par of a private industry handling the same type of transactions.

These stories usually make me laugh and then I think of the selfishness and pettiness of these people. I wonder how much money they spent having workers count cents instead of tend to more important matters. Why don't they call a couple numismatists? We'd search and count for them for free (so long as we get to do a 1-for-1 when we want).

Usually these things happen after a long comedy of errors. Most people want to spend as little time in government offices as possible. I'm pretty sure this wasn't just a one time deal, but a horror story of uncaring clerks that didn't take into consideration that he *IS* their customer - even if there is no competition.

I'd be willing to bet that there was a long and drawn out history, and the DMV continually made the dude jump through needless hoops, delays and wasted hours before he was angry enough to do this.

A lot of places are outsourcing that stuff. It's all about overhead costs.
