Rosette diadem is a clue to the emperor. Don't have my references handy...

Thanks a lot to all. Call me neurotic but I do not like to clean my coins... The problem is the emperor (bonnie portrait but clarty legend) and if there are two or three X on the reverse last line. The mint is impossible.

(David@PCC: your dekadrachm of Athens... I love it, pure dead brilliant!)

The mint is located under the wreath and may not be legible or off the coin? Here is a link to give you the info you need

Thanks, but that is not mine sadly. I just have a regular 'ol tet.

It's considered acceptable to clean ancients in this condition. Soak in distilled water, brush, change the water and repeat. It may take a while. In order to get an accurate ID, you need to see the obverse legend (looks like some may still be on the left side) and the mint on the reverse bottom. Even if cleaned and with full identification, it's probably only worth a buck or 2. But, you have a coin that is almost 1700 years old

Aye, I'm afraid that the mint is "out of the pudding"... :(
And do not worry, I believe that veeerry few people of this world have a dekadrachm of Athens... But your coin is precious!!! :woot:

Think ro1974 nailed it Antioch mint, I have the same coin, but different mintplace Syzicus. Looks your coin is from yet another mintplace due to a different portrait
    of Constans.

It seems that by the type of portrait, the clear D N CON... and the flower in the diadem can be a Constans from Nicomedia (RIC VIII Nicomedia 52)! Thanks a lot, my new friends!! ;)
