Can you guess the grade for this 1942 US proof set? The first three shown below are graded, either by PCGS or NGC. The '42 penny and nickel proofs will be submitted to NGC, so it has a grade of TBD (but of course, you can still make your educated guesses!). They're all problem-free and many of the scratches you may see on the slabbed proofs are probably just on the slab. The last two are raw Walkers that I'm thinking of submitting to NGC. However, I'll need your help and the CT communities consensus on their respective grades. I got these two coins as preludes to when I'd eventually upgrade to a proof Walker, so they'll have to retroactively subsidize the proof Walker. So hopefully, they'll strike a decent enough grade... And, sorry for the poor photos, especially the straight shot ones. The angled photos are much easier to take, so I hope they help to compensate for some of the poorer shots taken from directly above. Thanks in advance! 1942 Mercury Dime Proof 1942 Washington Quarter Proof The scratch at the head area is on the plastic, not the coin. 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Proof -------------------------------------------- 1942 Lincoln Wheat Penny Proof 1942 Type 2 War Nickel Proof -------------------------------------------- 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, Business Strike 1945 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, Business Strike
Since PF coins are already tough to grade in images (let alone poor photos) ill say: PF65 - dime PF65- quarter PF-64-Half dollar No comment on the others Guess I win then lol
