1981-P, Roosevelt Dime "Possible Misplaced MM " and No Initials.

    In reference to the 1981-P Roosevelt Dime Variety shown in page 208 of "Strike It Rich with Pocket Change book" I would like to know if this one fits within that variety or is it a different version or variety? My dime does not have the initials "JS" and there is a possible misplacement of another "P" of the mint mark close to the neck line similar to the one illustrated in the book's picture. All comments are welcomed.

    The only thing I see is extremely heavy die deterioration.

    Your coin has a resemblance to the listed one, but keep in mind this would be one single die having produced them. The mint mark of your coin is visibly farther to the left of the plate coin, so it can't be the same die.

    I agree. You're coin did not come from the same die as the coin in the photos.

    Look at the small die crack/cud/die defect at the base of the neck, immediately to the left of the extra MM. Could it be the same die?
