Wonder if this means the mint will overwork the tired old dies until they exhaust the supply. That could make for some fun picking down the road.

Thanks, all. My question is: has the market value for cents changed at all because of this?

Doubtful. At least not in the next 5 generations lifetimes.

Back in the mid to late 80's there were 2 employees of the
planchet supplier to the mint in Greeneville, Tennessee who would
go to coin shows in the area and sell blank planchets, clipped
planchets, and web strips with holes from where the planchets were
punched out. I still have a 4 ft. web strip and a bunch of the
other planchets. Error dealer Alan Herbert bought a small
truck load of these from me.

I’d told my Daughter about this order to abolish the cent awhile back. Yesterday I told her he’d signed a new order disallowing slippers in public high schools. That bothered her more.

I think the biggest Bill the president is going to sign against the schools is cell phones and I agree turn those suckers off in school you're not here to socialize you're here to learn

If you need to get a hold of your parents because of an emergency you can just turn your phone on and I'm sure the schools won't argue

I think kids in school are running wild I know when I went to school the principal would say you want us to disappoint you or call your parents

Simple answer please don't call my parents LOL

Think that there will increases in interest in the older cents, including the Indian and wheat cents. Prices for rolls of wheat cents might increase.

The mintages for the Memorial and Shield back cents are so high that I can’t see any big increases there. You might not be able to get rolls at face value from the bank in a year or so, however. The hoarders are going to spring into action although the rewards for doing it will be small or nonexistent for quite a while.

For those interested, the CR is your friend. Specifically, the Hearing a few days ago.
