Amen to that! IMO, MS-64 is STUPID! This is one of the worst examples of overgrading I have seen from ICG. I'll defend all the major TPGS when they deserve it and even SEGS but this has me stumped. At least they got the attribution correct. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Have to admit I did laugh when I saw that one. A 63 would be a stretch to defend in my opinion but 58 maybe even 55 to 62 I could have said okay I can see what they were thinking

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

How in the heck did they come up with questionable color? There's no color on there to be questionable! That's an utterly ridiculous result from PCGS.

I interpret it as old cleaning questionable re-toning. Every coin has color, color isn't exclusive to rainbow tones

What are you expecting, a fourth opinion? Get real. You made a great point. This "market grading" business is for the birds. "Professionals?" My tail. Guess the right "market grade?" Lol. Guess the right plastic grade. Now we're talking.

If you read the post above that someone tagged him and asked when I was going to give the grades, so I said after he chimed in. I have my own opinion of the coin.

    AU58.

It's been dipped but I bet it would be "market acceptable" type cleaning.

There's no "grade?" Don't you get it, yet? There's just plastic.

I disagree, that IS a very unusual color on a coin of this type. PCGS may have made the choice to put that on the label rather than cleaned.

With the darkest toning now on the devices instead of the fields, I believe "market acceptable" left on the last train.

Bet that Questionable color slab was looking pretty good at this point. I like it where it is and think that it is appropriate for the coin.

Haha, yeah, though I was hoping for that MS61 again. Oh well. I'll probably give it another go next year.

I think it's accurately graded now. It looks like it has been cleaned in the past.

That ICG grade is absolutely ridiculous. The old NGC MS-61 grade and the PCGS questionable color grade at least had some logic to them, but MS-64? No way.

No one mentioned the error on the reverse. Was that strike through, weak strike, or a die issue?

I mentioned my opinion on this coin when I first started the thread, I think it was dipped and then toned. Yes I like the coin and I am sure I'll own it for years to come.

He was talking about another coin.
