I wouldn't feel too bad. It does look really nice. I can see myself going for it (and I probably have for similar) in the past. The fact that "25 have viewed this item" in the past hour and it is still available makes me think something must be wrong.

 

Bet you don't get that coin cheap.

 

The coin in the photo is a genuine GEM T$ dated 1873. The listing is for an 1878-S!

 

Let's see, what do they specialize in selling -- ah! Digital photos, delivered by email, for one cent! And they'll leave prompt, courteous positive feedback, and hope you'll do the same. To dilute their negative feedback.

This type of scam - photos of genuine coin and shipping a fake - only works when shipping from third world countries.

 

The guy sent me a refund, so thats the end of that, thank you everyone, I am new to this and I make stupid mistakes lol

thanks for the heads up, I think I am staying to coin roll hunting and I just bought a metal detector so I think im gonna stay away from buying coins from now, I also got ripped off on a nickel that was suppose to be s over d error but it clearly says s (i noticed it when I got it in the mail today, he did not show the back of the coin, now i know why lol)

 

I'd buy the one in the image even if it were a fake for 35. Though, this is quite obviously a classic bait and switch.
