Interesting Check dated January 27th 1868

Was going thru my old currency drawer and found this, not sure what I paid or traded for
but its obviously really cool, if anybody can provide more details and value it would be appreciated.

That's a winner for anyone's collection. i'd be a proud owner of a nice historical piece.

 

Bank checks can get pretty fancy -- I like the ones that were engraved by bank note companies. You can see a lot of these on this thread:
