Found on another forum listed for sale.... They mostly look goofy to me- can I get an experts opinion? ..but wait, there's more... https://imgur.com/gallery/3TmzK
If they look "goofy" to you, imagine how they look to us. Run, just as fast as you can...away from these.
The first two look better than the others but when in doubt . . . don't walk, run. Are they being sold from overseas?
Not exactly "legit", but probably large enough to be considered a marketplace. More troubling is perusing the sellers past posts, they appear to know exactly what they are doing. They mention a family owned pawn-shop and attending 100s of coin shows. https://www.reddit.com/r/Coins4Sale...old_us_coins_bust_halves_seated_dollar_trade/
I'm seeing (without spending a lot of time on research) a couple questionable authenticities, a *lot* of polished pieces (Circulation Cameo Busties shouldn't have PL surfaces ), and a couple worthy examples.
I plan to! ;p I was reminded of them when I saw @Numismat 's thread, but I didn't want to hi-jack it. If nothing else, it's a nice collection/exercise of things to avoid. Even if one of the coins was determined to be authentic, I would not trust the seller.
I'm not as keen on US coins as foreign, but it looks to me like the lower value coins are details grade and the bigger money ones (trade dollar and 1859-O dollar) in the lot are modern fakes.
