Colorful Silver Rupee

    What do you think caused the color of this silver coin? It is listed as INDIA -MUGHAL EMPIRE - AURANGZEB - 1 RUPEE -AH 1116 //49 (1704 AD) SILVER Weight: 11.50 GM, Diameter: 22.40 MM

    Could oxidation do that or is that from chemicals when cleaned? Very eye catching either way. Any thoughts on the value?

    I am no where near an expert but the toning looks suspicious. Nice coin however.
