Hey there guys. New to this entire thing, and i believe this is the best place to get your answers. The question here is..whats the difficulty on finishing this presidential set. And because im not all that good with going around asking people im gonna just say IN CIRCULATION. Dont judge me..maybe this this set is easy, maybe its impossible, maybe its a worthless set, i dont know. Remember that you were once like me...i think. Anyway...let me know. And if u spot any errors let me knnnoooww. Thanks :)

The NIFC ones may be more difficult but if you search enough, you'll find them.

Ask your bank if they can get the small dollar rolls for you.

    Not Intended For Circulation (consumption).

I think the others are right, you can find them - you will probably expedite the search by visiting your local bank and asking.

Good luck, and welcome to the channel!

I think he was saying he is in favor of you asking your bank for rolls, the same as another poster...BTW x3 Banks are usually happy to give you rolls of whatever you ask for, however when you go to return them, the banks can get snarley.

You think credit unions would have them? My aunt works at one.

Doesn't hurt to ask your banks or credit unions. I get my $2 bills from both. You never know what they might have.

Go for it, let us know...BTW, sometimes I see advertisements from Littleton Coin Company offering the last 6 presidentials for $6...now of course they're going to send you some approval crap, but you can return it. Their prices are usually outlandish.

Collecting what you can find in circulation is great way to start, you may want to plan on slowly upgrading to higher quality coins as you find opportunities to do so economically. Since many of the years were not meant to be circulated, tons of coins have sat in storage and vaults their whole lives. There are a lot of uncirculated and proof sets floating around; as-well-as, rolls/boxes/bags ordered directly from the mint.

Wheat cents are another great way to begin collecting out of circulation, they're out there in circulation, yet tough enough to find that you're excited when you do find them. You should think about buying a folder or album and begin filling it with wheaties you come upon.

Getting rolls from your bank isn't quite the same as finding them in circulation but at least then you could put the coins into circulation affter you're done looking them over. Since the presidential coins rarely, if ever, really circulate I'd say it might be nearly impossible to complete a set from circulation. I have never seen one given out in change by any retailer. The Post Office used to but I don't know if they still do.

Not intended for circulation......the goobers stopped releasing them into the 'wild' back a spell.

If there is a coin shop near you, most of the ones I've been to will sell them for twice face value. That's a lot easier than going to a bank and trying to get a whole roll and hoping it's the right one. Just a thought for you. Same with the state and national parks quarters.
