very nice coin and i think it is close enough that the grader will have as much to do with the out come as the coin itself.hard to be to upset either way with ms 67.
I now have this coin in hand. The Heritage pictures were off a lot, I think this coin has a very good chance at making it in a PCGS MS66/67 FB holder. I won't be sending it off for a little while, but I will post the results when I get them.
Very close. I could see it going either way. Good luck on the regrade. Regardless, I'd much prefer to buy that coin in a non-FB holder.
I have a similar coin, NGC ms67*, with a nice blue obverse tone (no pictures, I'm working on it with lighting and will post if I get a decent pic) that has full bands but they are not rounded. I'm submitting it to PCGS at the Baltimore show in March for a possible crossover. This coin does have some chatter in the reverse fields and I'm wondering, would it be better to have it as a 66 fb or a 67*? Or am I just overthinking this whole thing because the FB gets a multiple of 4X in my price guide?
No, that's not what I meant. Take a year and a mint and assume almost all those coins from that mint have full bands, while at a different mint, in that same year, hardly any of those coins have full bands. Do you see, now? So, that's a determinant.
