1970-S cent, opinions and grade?

The cost of slabbing out weighs the value of the coin.

 

Anyone have an idea what the cent would be worth not graded?

 

Too many varieties to keep up with. A high grade rare variety goes for about $3000.00. A circulated one like yours, I'd say about $.01.

 

I would not grade it but definitely keep it. its a beautiful piece, has a very clean look and good strike. Who knows maybe grading will be free one day

I see the $0.01 large date variety.

 

and oxidized copper spots....

 

I think that is an EF coin, and its worth about a cent.

 

i bet the reverse is beat up....lol

 

Large date and no variety. However, it is till a copper cent so it is worth about 2¢

It's hard to take good pictures but a reevaluation is definitely needed.

 

I think you need to move the decimal to the right like 6 spaces and put a 1 at the begining.

 

I think you're fishing for someone to say it's the FS-101 DDO. It is not. For one thing, the doubling on the O of GOD is not nearly strong enough. This is either machine doubling or die deterioration, nothing more. Value: $.01.

 

Upon re-evaluation, your pictures still suck.

 

Uhh ohh. This might be the gusto!!! I think there is one S like that in the 1970-s Doubled dies.
