Yea, wheres @Insider ??? Do ya hafta say his name 3 times in the dark in front of a mirror (spinning around) to get him to show up to a thread?????
Play nice. I've been on for the last four days and CT is DEAD. Figured all were at FUN. I'm at FUN on a hotel computer. I left this reply about six hours ago but it din't post. Just had dinner. I don't get GTG correct very often. Reply to tag: Coin has slight rub, hairlines. bunch of tiny hits face. Easier to pick correct grade if I knew the TPGS service and it was in hand. My guess MS-62. Only missed 6 grades on covered labels today. Seven if you count calling a 64+ a 64. Also saw two green label PCI 65'5 that should cross anywhere and two fly-by-night TPGS ("made" when they first started) actual 66's that were graded 67. Most of their 67's have been AU-55's!
It is in a PCGS, series # slab. I am gonna let this one hang out for the rest of the day, seems every time I post the grade, two or more folks post with guess's.
That has a nice ring to it, like a super hero. Like popeye, when i down a can of Miller i immediately transform into a camo wearin, 4x4 drivin, tobacco chewin, 6 shot totin, all american redneck hero of some sort.
Anybody have a problem with the discoloration to the left of her forehead? Looks like someone tried to cleanup or coverup a pretty large dark spot. Details - Altered surface.
So, I had Bought a PF DDO Rosie about six months ago, The dealer gave me one heck of a deal on it, I felt that he left to much money on the table. The next time I went in there I threw him about 60$ to cover the difference, Well, The other day, I walked in thinking I had just looked thru all his cases and was gonna buy the DC. He was busy, so I didn't even bother him until he settled down. I asked him to see this way "better in hand" Peace Dollar. I asked him the Price? He gave me the 60$ bucks back, I said sold!!! If he is part of CT. I do say Thank You.
I believe That this one is graded correctly. Though, I was pretty sad to say, The DC is Gonna have to wait. The dealer commented on how much he liked DCs work. I believe a smart numismatist wouldn't cast such pieces out of his life, They are with the coin collecting community for the rest of our lives. We might as well Identify all the pairs, Know them, and put this whole affair to bed. To be at the for front of future forgeries, It is In my interest to the hobbie to know. And educate others why this could be a 64' Morgan. From the Mint, Also Know why it is a DC or, may it be a forgery. Most of our History, we have all ways Honored our own currency whether it was an early dollar, Half cents were altered, and used. Hey, if I miss a whole lot of our currency please correct me. Dimes were turned into Love Tokens, Nickels became something to carve on, Counterstamps, Chop marks, all these things are acceptable. Without coming right out and saying it, I think DC is within the limits of acceptable, Carry on Carry on, My Friends.
