Good Friday to everyone! Have a fellow that offered to sell this coin to me.What do you think would be a fair price? Looking forward to your response. Thanks!
It looks like without a sticker they're selling for $680-$790. This one is CAC approved and sold in December of 2019 for $1440. https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/item/1877-t-1/7044/-5317204370985910303
That depends on if you really like it for your collection or if you are gonna buy it to flip it. I glance at most Seated coins, Trade dollars. I really don't ever search them out. The CAC says AU58+ If one of these type coins caught my eye, I might go $800. One sold for $1440 with a CAC sticker in 2019.
Jeez-a-mickey..... It's been a while since I was trade dollar shopping. I thought you guys were pulling his chain so I had to go do my own investigating and I am a bit stunned. I couldn't make myself pay that much for a trade dollar but sure enough you guys are on the mark.... Now I have to go dig my trade dollars out of the safe and carry them to the bank SDB.
Didn't get to see your post. I would have left mine out. @Cazador have you seen it in hand? Is that the real color?
I’m terrible at talking pictures but no it has that darker toning.Like the grey you see on most silver coins.Yes i have seen it in hand.I made the purchase $850.it was pretty hard to find any recently sold so i made an executive decision from past sales.I have always wanted to have a trade dollar but the ones that i have found were always low grade for an extremely high price.
It should be in the neighborhood of $850-$900 but it’s always worth more or less depending on who’s interested in buying it.
I sold my collection of Trade Dollars a while back and could not believe the prices they brought, 3 to 4X what I gave for the coins. Wish I had put more away.
Prices are definitely up. Here is one on eBay in a 58 with no green bean asking $1104. The only one i can find but no comp for recently sold. That’s why i thought $850 was good.
