New purchase. I have a feeling that people are gonna get this one wrong but we’ll see. I’ll post the grade in 24 to 36 hours
I tried to make it visible without showing the serial number of grades, but it is a third generation old green holder, not a rattler
When I started looking for the Proof coins from 1936 to 1942, I found that it was almost impossible to grade these coins from photographs. I had to see them in person. That 1885 Proof cent looks really nice, but the Proof mirror does not show in the photos. Proofs have a certain look to them that you can really only appreciate by seeing them in person. Here are a couple from my collection. This one is NGC PR-65, Brown This one is PCGS PR-66 Brown.
It’s a little nicer than you think. See the total population. The Reason I made a play for it Is That is one of those almost never on the market type of things
I did not guess because i find it nearly impossible to determine the mirrors on a proof coin using static pictures. I will say this though, i am not surprised by the grade. My instincts were that it was a special piece. Congrats. James
Non+ grades are the top number were there a plus It would be listed right under the top number, so there are no plus grades on the Pcgs S population report e.g.
