1800 draped bust normal date

I’m trying to figure out if my coin is a fake or not. I got it from a local auction house for really cheap. I know it’s worth a lot if it’s real. Thanks!

Sure is difficult with the thumbnail photos. I can't blow the thumbnail photos up. Can you try again attaching the photos?

 

Fake. "Buy cheap. Get cheap."

 

All I can say from these photos is that the corrosion spots on the reverse seem to indicate that it's copper plated pot metal.

 

You get what you pay for.

 

I’ve never seen a copper coin that clean and have corrosion on it as this one does. In other words, it’s a fake.

 

Ok thank you guys. It’s definitely a fake. I did a ping test and it sounds high pitched and rings for awhile. Copper doesn’t do that

 

I hate that for you. Next time you are tempted by an auction piece, post a photo here before you bid. We will all look out for you.

Thank you all for your help. I was thinking about getting it graded. But I wanted to make sure it’s real. This is why I love the coin talk community. Just a bunch of nice people helping each other out.

My 1800 only grades Fine, and is not a great coin, but here it is.
