I dumped all eight at the credit union machine, at the same time.

    A couple nice finds today...
First was this proof, I like it because 2008 was a good year personally... It was the year I graduated high school, and the year the Celtics won their only championship in my lifetime

Find #2 is a milestone find for me, a great way to start the new year, 110 years old and my first ever V nickel found roll hunting!

Was able to get a fourth box for the week in today. I have 2 more for tomorrow. The fourth was a good one:

    3 90%ers
    6 40%ers

I like that 2nd Kennedy from the right, top row. I love when silver takes on that purple-ish hue

Yeah, 3 ounces in one week is great for me. The Walker I found on Tuesday was my highlight though.

I've been getting strange toning lately. My favorite of all time was an almost all black toned 64 Kennedy that I pulled awhile back.

I use their Coinstar machine, so other than having to clear it more often they don't care. I don't pay fees at my credit union so its no cost to me. The machine is spot on with counts, so if I dump $1000 in halves, it registers a $1000 in halves. its calibrated tight so silvers I miss get kick back out in the reject tray.
I never dump rerolled halves, too much work for me and too much work for my teller friends.

I use a grocery cart since the my nearest Credit Union is next to a Walmart. Yesterday I could not find one and a bag slipped and $500 in halves spilled onto the parking lot. ugh!

Although it's technically not roll hunting, Ace, you mentioned Ikes, so I thought I'd add I bought an UNC one for $1 from a massive bin of coins at a flea market... I figured I couldn't go wrong spending $1 for a $1 USA coin in uncirculated condition :)

I bought $80 worth of customer rolls of halves at a bank on my way home from work tonight. 7 of the rolls had X's written on them, so I guessed they'd been searched. I was correct. They contained a few perfect, but common years chronologically organized from '71-'95.

The 8th roll (no "X") had a different style paper and contained:

    1, BU '68
    1, BU gold-plated '80
    3 UNC Proofs (Cu-Ni clad)
plus some really worn coins from the 90's...really strange mix in the 8th roll, but given it contained 3 UNC proofs and 1 silver coin I'm happy!

well, I got the year started off right! Picked up the bag off the coin counting machine at my fav. bank. I do that about once per month. Usually I get one or 2 silver. Today....
1 Walker 1935s in VF-20 (or a little better) condition
    3 Ben
    5 JFK '64 90%
    13 JFK 40% including one 65
    one golf token
Also $5.75 in quarters that the machine didn't count so that was bonus cash
I don't think I got any Walkers last year, so that was very nice to see
