Ummm, I could do a second set if nobody else is ready to go ... Mentor, do you want to try Round-2? (good times, yes?) Ancient coins are fun, eh? *edit* Uh-oh ... apparently I only have one coin from the "8th" Century AD ... => I call "Uncle"
ok, i'll give it a shot. i'm just going with the easiest coins i can find, and not stressing the dates to much (my 6th century BC coin could be minted in another time, has a long range of possible dates). Part I 6th BC 5th BC 4th BC 3rd BC 2nd BC 1st BC
I sure wish my Alex, Tet would get here. Its been almost a month since I picked it from an auction. After seeing your 4th cent. AD is making it seems like its been 2 months. Love it.
1st Century AD 2nd Century AD 3rd Century AD 4th Century AD 5th Century AD 6th Century AD 11th Century AD 12th Century AD
sorry bing, had to take the kids to a ball game...it's ok if were mixed up a bit isn't it? 10th 11th 12th 13th 14th 15th
16th 17th 18th 19th 20th 21st 22nd... do you think there will be any 22nd century coins? or will everything be electronic by then? maybe in less developed parts of the world they will still use physical currency or something?
Hey, in case you USA dudes are interested ... the World Junior Hockey Final is about to start (it's on every channel in Canada) .... curious? ... do you you dudes even have it on your USA TV? => Go Canada!!
Just wanted to say that I liked @stevex6 's 16th century example. It looks like the duke was rushing to get into the official photo and was still mostly out of frame when the camera went off. (Any idea why they made a coin with the subject so far out of "frame"? It just seems like a strange artistic choice.)
Parthicus => it is supposed to be a sword coming out from the clouds (pretty cool, eh?) Reverse: armored arm, wielding sword, emerging from clouds
