Ummm, I could do a second set if nobody else is ready to go ...

Mentor, do you want to try Round-2? (good times, yes?)

    Ancient coins are fun, eh?

    *edit*

Uh-oh ... apparently I only have one coin from the "8th" Century AD ...

That was a weak one for me, too. I guess we should go shopping.

ok, i'll give it a shot. i'm just going with the easiest coins i can find, and not stressing the dates to much (my 6th century BC coin could be minted in another time, has a long range of possible dates).

Okay by me, but I'm done. I quit modern coins years ago. I'm surprised I got as far as I did.

do you think there will be any 22nd century coins? or will everything be electronic by then? maybe in less developed parts of the world they will still use physical currency or something?

Just wanted to say that I liked @stevex6 's 16th century example. It looks like the duke was rushing to get into the official photo and was still mostly out of frame when the camera went off. (Any idea why they made a coin with the subject so far out of "frame"? It just seems like a strange artistic choice.)

Parthicus => it is supposed to be a sword coming out from the clouds (pretty cool, eh?)

Reverse: armored arm, wielding sword, emerging from clouds
