I haven't been doing much coin collecting at all lately, but I did manage to make it to my local shop today and pick through his junk bin. He offered several unsorted bags to look through, which had a little more interesting mix of stuff. UK pennies, NZ, Aus, Straits Settlements, Canada large cents Japan Various Europe Latin America plus some miscellaneous If I find anything cool, I'll try to take individual photos, but that's the overview.
I'm not sure what to make of this Bahamas 1972 10 cent. Numista lists it as a non-circulating coin for 1971-1973. Mintages are not big, 11K for regular and 35K for proof. With the mirrored surfaces, I'm not sure which it would be. The regular circulation issues of 1966 and 1969 had mintages of about 2 million. Doesn't seem to be worth especially much either way.
The sort of coins that used to make a Krause catalog so much fun. Not sure if it's as much fun looking them up online. Never tried.
I've done both. Having them laid out on a page in Krause is nice for finding things. But I use online (Numista mostly) a lot to do search by weight, diameter or partial text. I still use both quite a bit.
Canada large cents. These are usually a good deal for $0.10 in most any condition. I see 1876, 1881, 1882, 1916 x2, 1917? All three Victoria ones are decent finds.
Quick Look at prices I think you have your money just in the Canada large cent it's pretty cool that you got 3 mint marked ones too
The Eidolon NGC lists 2 of these coins business strike 11,000 minted and Proof, no mintage shown. The bus strike is only valued at 15 cents but with a mintage like that it appears undervalued. And the proof version a dollar in PF 63. As for the coppers there is a great assortment here worth much more than what you paid.
You might already know, but there are a bunch of varieties of those Victoria large cents. It might be fun to try to ID them. https://coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php?canadian_coins=1-cent-1876-1901
Thanks! Even with magnification, I can't usually see lettering variants on worn coins. Anyway, they have been dumped in a container with dozens of other Canada large cents by now, so I might have trouble finding them! Pictured are the two Straits Settlements coins: 1888 Victoria and 1920 George V 1 cents Even in worn condition, the Victoria is probably worth a couple dollars.
Mexico 1925 5 Centavo I picked this because of its age and because I thought it was in handsome condition.
Last couple photos if any are still interested. Thanks for the likes and feedback! Nicaragua 1939 50 Centavos Not in bad shape, and the first year of the series, which is fun. None of these had terribly high mintages. This one is about average with 1M. Maybe worth $1-2? Some older Swiss minors: 5 Rappen 1917 and 1882, 2 Rappen 1944 (Zinc) The 1917 is a relatively lower mintage year. The 1944 zinc isn't very worn, but has that ugly corrosion so many zinc coins get.
