    Ah. Thank you.

One wonders if anyone's used "cans" as a synonym for "buttocks" since, what, the 1940s?

I dunno. I've never really heard it, at any rate. It's pretty archaic, is what I'm sayin'.

I probably never would've figured this one out on my own.

PS- I looked it up. Google's AI bot says "cans" for "buttocks" dates to the mid-20th century.

    etymonline.com says circa 1910.

So yeah. Rather dated slang. ;)

Nyatii I like running w/scissors. Makes me feel dangerous

I had a pile of it; and mine was sweeter, tastier, and tougher than beef. It was a very old bull.

    Thank you, Quartermaster and Rob.
If I win, I would like to donate the coins to the youngest member. Maybe Rob or someone could help me figure out who that is.

Coingratulations, @SensibleSal66! You have won some more counterstamped quarters! Message me your address- I'm sure I've got it, but if you send it to me again, it will save me the time of digging through old PMs to find it.

I will certainly try. I have over 3 dozen now!! Going to try to print out a map of the U.S and somehow attach them to each state that I have. Maybe fill up the whole map eventually? Any ideas would help. :)

You could use a state quarter map. Several versions are available , and fairly cheap.

Any idea how to attach these coins without holes to a map? Magnets maybe? Attach one button magnet to the map and the other magnet to the coin (adhesive backed magnets only). ??

The holes are already in the map. Like the albums we all used.

What @beaver96 said- a Statehood quarter map, as I also suggested earlier in our PMs.

As to your idea of sticking quarters to magnets… umm… really, Sal? You didn’t already know that copper-nickel coins (in fact, ALL US coins except the 1943 cent) are non-magnetic? o_O:rolleyes:

(Different story north of the border, though. A Canadian quarter will stick to a magnet. A United States quarter? Nope.)

Anyway, your coins shipped this morning: Friday, March 7th. Apologies for the slight delay.

Sorry, forgot about our talk. Must be old age? The map is an excellent idea. I knew they weren't magnet. That's why I said to use 2 magnets for each coin but since the holes are already there then that's a better idea.
Thanks for the heads up about the package. Looking forward to your endless array of stamps on there. LOL.

I once had to search a whole bag of 1968 canadian quarters and a magnet definitely helped with sorting silver from non-silver.

There weren’t any vintage stamps on this one. Just the boring modern ones.
