Neither. In order to garner the superlative the entire surface of the devices must be covered in frost. The hair near both the ear and collar appear to be brilliant proof and not frosted, so unfortunately no Cameo or Deep Cameo. This coin is a just miss.
I agree. Some shadows may be making it look like there is a lack of frost in places. Raising the angle of the light will help.
What does trouble me is (what appears to be, at least to me) breaks in the luster where Mike mentioned
I voted CAM for this reason. I'm not sure about HALF DOLLAR on the reverse, but everything else looks at least CAM, and possible DCAM. You need to shoot this coin with a copy stand and a ring light.
Most definitely a cameo coin but as Mike mentioned there is a break in the frost on the obverse and I'm not sure how this would or would not affect a cameo designation by a TPG.
The photos are pretty accurate except all the letters are extra frosted. But there are slight breaks on the high points.
For one, get it out of that plastic and lighting will be very hard to do, you need to defuse the lighting, either on the top, or bottom, or take both ( top & bottom ) for better viewing ..
