Truly amazing! Better than a MS coin in my opinion, ;).

It looks a bit like Desert Moon's 1854 that I believe he sold recently. It looks like it has more color, though.

It don't work that way @ZoidMeister

The final hole is now filled. The live auction closed without a bid while I was taking a nap. 1870-CC WB-5 (R6), PCGS F12

@fiddlehead . 1840 is one of my favorite years for Seated coins. I just wish they didn't have to change the designs. I collect the 1837-1840 dimes (pre change). Love the small letter halves too. James

Back to plain gray with an upgrade.
PCGS XF45 CAC - Even though I have the VF25 below, I could not resist bidding for this coin.

PCGS VF25 - a tad overgraded but an old favorite for its nice look and surfaces. This midgrade gem needs to be regraded for CAC approval. A PCGS rep actually defended the grade for this coin on the CU forums many years ago because they felt it was a particularly choice coin with nice surfaces worthy of a higher grade than that determined by wear. To me, it has a VF20 obverse paired with a VF30 reverse. To gain CAC approval, it will need to have the grade lowered IMO.
