I don't think this has been posted anywhere yet; apologies if it has been shared already. As the title of this thread suggests, it's a CoinWeek video about the National Numismatic Collection, and it focuses on some of the less well known coins instead of the usual 1804 dollar, 1933 double eagle, etc. Definitely worth checking out!

    Fascinating video, Thanks!

Sooo much in that collection that will never be seen, other than by a privileged few...

So is a catalog of the collection available, preferably with pictures?

That was a cool video with some cool stuff.

Jeff Garret is a cool guy, and I'm in the middle of reading his encyclopedia of gold coins (just started the $2.50's.....)

I wonder if @Treashunt is familiar with the "prototype redbook" shown at 2:28.

But the shirt the other dude was wearing.... ouch. The 70's called, they want their fabric back.

No. Not currently. My understanding is that they are working on it, but I don't know how long that will take.

In the meantime, the collection of the ANS and the British Museum are both available on the interweb, and that should be enough to keep you occupied for the next few dozen lifetimes.

Thanks for pointing it out, and no,, I never saw that one.

Now, to figure out how to 'borrow' it from them.
