Happy New Year everyone! Here's all the silvers I collected in 2016 Whoops I forgot to add my Ptolemy tet.. damn
Nice looking bunch of coins ya got there. What legion is that Mark Antony legionary denarius in the center?
Some random Romans from over the years: Some more random Romaning around: I picked these for their different colors, sizes, etc. John
Thank you for this excellent thread I_v_a_n! Here's a composite image showing obverse and reverse of my 2016 purchases.
Hey everybody, Love the still-life pics! My brother is working today and I'm on vacation, so I poorly attempted to do one of these. Most of the coins belong to the bro, but there are a few of mine thrown in there. The Shekel of Tyre used to be mine, so I took a moment of silence before taking the pictures. Sorry for the super sucky photos, tho. Erin
Thanks Ivan! Unfortunately, only two of the coins are electrum. One is right beside the holed Augustus denarius. It's a 1/96 stater from 625-600 BC with a geometric pattern on it. It's super tiny @ 4.5 mm. The other is between the Corinth stater and Augustus denarius. It's a 1/12 stater from 600-550 BC with a lion on the obverse and a floral pattern in the incuse square on the reverse. Both belonging to my brother. The rest are of the fractions are silver. The one to the left of the Athens tetradrachm is mine. Yay! Erin
The other side will have to wait. I shot the above a year ago and only did one side. Most of these are now in the bank box. I do now wish I had shot the other side Oh well, next time
