Perusing a local auction site and saw this. Don't know that I ever saw a 2X2 that would hold three dimes before and I been messing around with coins a mighty long time. Just thought it was oddly interesting.
I wonder if these were intended for the 1943 steel cent set. Holes look cent sized. Selling all three together was popular.
Yes, I recall seeing these in the early 80s, for Steel Cents. Looks like, from @1776 that they still exist.
My 1943 cents came in this in the early 70s. I've never seen another like it (but I don't get out much). Coins move around a lot in there of course.
I've seen multi coin 2x2 flips a few times but it is certainly not too common. Three items of the same date from three different mints does make sense to sell this way (when none of the three are expensive).
Yep, I remember seeing them holding P/D/S sets of various other cents or dimes, as well as steel cents.
