I'm not a huge fan of preordering but I just realized how many things I'm collecting at once that require me to keep up with 2025 coins. I have pre-orders in for: 2025 & 2025-D pennies 2025-P & 2025-D nickels 2025-P & 2025-D dimes 2025-D Juliette Gordon Low quarter 2025-P & 2025-D half dollars Well at least I won't have to worry about them for a while lol. Still not ordered and I won't order them this early: the last 3 American Women quarters (Stacy Milborn, Vera Rubin, and Althea Gibson) Innovation dollars for Florida and Texas (I'm not collecting all of these, but FL & TX are space-related and I collect all of those) Might get my father & myself the 2025 Marine Corps half dollar, still deciding. I like the design but it feels horribly overpriced.
Thank you for your post, I just ordered a USMC 250th proof dollar. I had forgotten to check when they were going on sale, your post reminded me. They are committing a bit of robbery with their prices, IMO.
I'm not a huge fan of most of the modern stuff but there's some series I'm dedicated to keep going until they end them if ever. (Looks like the Lincoln cents might be ending soon.) But occasionally they do put out something that feels like a "must-have" and for me that includes anything space or baseball related lol.
Yeah $61 just for the clad half dollar. If that was for the silver dollar, I'd almost say that's reasonable... but they want $96 for that! I don't know what they're thinking anymore. I haven't bought any modern commemorative since the Negro Leagues Baseball and Purple Heart ones back in 2022.
I seriously doubt the Lincoln Cent is ending anytime soon. Too much money to be made. I did purchase the proof USMC 250th proof Silver Dollar and Half Dollar, but stayed away from the Uncirculated versions since they were in struck in the same mints as their proof counterparts. The only pre-orders I have are for the remaining four AWQ and the proof Kennedy Half Dollar in clad for 2025.
Entire other threads on the topic so won't get into it too much, but it's past the just talking about it stage; it's actually been ordered for the mint to stop minting pennies. Will that permanently stick? I guess we'll see, but it's never come this close to ending as it just has. Might get the Marine Corps commemoratives with my tax refund money when it shows up.
