Lol. Especially after this November, being on my list is not a particularly exclusive club.

I think you need to step away from the keyboard and go for a short walk.

And that's what these 1964-Ds are? I'm just trying to get at the rationale. They're real dollars, but with altered designs? Or do you care to amend that last part to, "...with altered dates?" I ask because that's why he said he won't make us a 1958 cent with a memorial reverse, it's not simply a fantasy date.

Sure, altered date works, too, although I suspect that a fantasy 1908 Lincoln would probably have VDB, which not all 1909s do. That would qualify it as an altered design.

Several points here: First, examples did surface after the original melt that were subsequently destroyed, showing that the original Mint records and count were inaccurate to begin with. Second, the fact that PCGS is offering a reward suggests to a lay person that the coins could exist and thus Carr pieces could be used for fraud. Third, the coins need not currently exist to run afoul of the provisions. Fourth, counterfeits, reproductions, or copies need not be exact (i.e. to include date variations to fantasy dates) are insufficient to change the legal status of the coin. I'm saying that your argument is missing the entire point, and it doesn't matter either way legally.
