I found this in a roll of junk silver. Half way around the coin the rim seems to be split and a thin layer folded over. I doubt its an actual error but I've never seen one like this before so just wondering if anyone knows what could have happened?
Minor issue. Called finning. Minor Misaligned die strike caused extra pressure to that side of the dime and caused it to raise just a bit. Circulation wear cause the fin to fold over.
